DISTRIBUTION
Known from the Gulf of Aden to the western Pacific of the Philippines, Japan, New Caledonia, Indonesia and American Samoa.
The body is light to dark purplish plum white pigment spots may be present on the notum and on the tip of the rhinophores. Found under coral rubble on shallow reefs.
