Two Australian species, are possibly regional forms of Hypselodoris infucata. They are Hypselodoris saintvincentius found in South Australia, and Hypselodoris obscura from New South Wales and southern Queensland.
Hypselodoris infucata is found throughout the Indo-West Pacific various names have been given to this species depending on the relative size of the yellow and blue spots. Juveniles often have no dark blue specks and their yellow patches are relatively large.
